Women Are Precious, Yet More Vulnerable

We, as women, are strong, resilient, and irreplaceable. We nurture, we build, and we inspire. But despite our strength, we face dangers that make everyday life feel uncertain. The truth is, women are often targeted, simply for existing. Whether at work, walking home, or even just enjoying a simple meal out, we constantly navigate risks that threaten our safety.

We have all heard chilling stories of women being attacked—some were lucky to escape, while others never made it home. These tragedies remind us why safety is not just a privilege but a necessity.

A Call That Changed Everything: The Story of Monique Ball

On December 29th, Monique, a loving mother of two and a dedicated real estate agent, received a phone call. The caller—a woman—wanted to see a house her company was selling. It seemed like any other workday for Monique, but she had no idea that answering this call would lead her straight into danger.

Excited to make a sale, Monique went to meet the prospective buyer. But she had walked into a trap. In Minnesota, Monique was lured to a fake house showing, kidnapped, and murdered in a brutal and heartbreaking manner. Her life was taken in an act of senseless violence, leaving her family and children in unimaginable grief.

As heartbreaking as Monique’s story is, it is not an isolated case. The harsh reality is that women, both young and old, face threats even in broad daylight.

A Nightmare at McDonald’s: The Story of Kassidy Jones

Thirteen-year-old Kassidy Jones never thought a simple stop at McDonald’s would turn into a nightmare.

It was September 6th, after school, when she walked into a crowded McDonald’s on Lomita Blvd in Harbor City. The place was packed, the air filled with chatter and the smell of fries. But amidst the noise, one voice stood out—a woman aggressively shouting, “I fight kids.”

Kassidy, like any other child, tried to mind her business. But the woman’s eyes locked onto hers. Without warning, the stranger lunged at her.

Before Kassidy could react, the woman struck her face—again and again. The assault was brutal, and the worst part? People stood watching. Some even pulled out their phones, recording every painful moment. But no one stepped in to stop it.

Eventually, the attack ended. Kassidy was left physically and emotionally scarred. The trauma of that day would stay with her forever.

These stories are heartbreaking, and unfortunately, they are not rare. Every day, women face moments of danger, whether planned or random. Often, the difference between survival and tragedy is how quickly someone can get help.

Imagine if Monique had a way to instantly alert her loved ones when she felt uneasy about the house showing. Imagine if Kassidy had an immediate SOS trigger to alert her family the moment she was in danger. A quick intervention can mean the difference between a terrifying experience and a life-altering event.
