Those seats have bigger leg rooms and really that’s all you need on any travel.
So when you sit next to the emergency doors on an airplane, the cabin crew are required to perform an exit row briefing that goes something like this – You are seated at an emergency exit. In case of an emergency, you will be required to operate this exit. Are you willing and able to assist?
If you say, no, they are required, by law, to find another seat for you on the plane. And you are required, by law, to get up.
Here is the visual of what happens when you say – “no, I ain’t saving nobody. Ama save myself” LMAO…
This is how you must choose your emergency contacts on NauNauSOS Personal Safety App. And how they must understand the consequences!
You are not adding emergency contacts because they are your best friend or because that is your favorite uncle. You are adding individuals that have agreed to be there for you during an emergency.
We started a follow-up call on our current users and we encountered some that said – I don’t even know why I have the app so I uninstalled. Then we proceed to educate them on the app and explain why they were someone’s contact. Thankfully, they get excited and re-install the app.
Aside from the emergency door analogy, here are some other factors to consider when you are choosing your emergency contacts:
NauNauSOS App – Choose Your Emergency Contacts
- Think carefully about who you will add to your emergency contacts.
- Keep them local to where you are so that they can get to you immediately. For solo travelers, you should consider adding the hotel security as an emergency contact.
- Make sure that you have discussed with your emergency contacts before adding them to your list. The emergency exit door analogy plays here.
- Revisit your emergency contact lists periodically to make sure that they are active and current.
