We have noticed that a lot of you would rather wing it than take actual steps. Social media apps are great, but the argument of “I can just share my location on WhatsApp” is… [sorry] a load of bull.
Social media apps are for socializing. Yes, every now and then people share locations and tweet emergencies… but they are social apps, and do not have the urgency attached to personal safety apps. The probability that you would immediately open a WhatsApp text when it pops up is not that high, because for all you know, it could be any kind of chat.
If we’re being honest, you may not check it till hours pass.
But when the notification of a personal safety app pops up, you know that this is serious. You know someone in your Safety Circle needs you immediately! That is what we’re about. Urgency!
So, if urgency is so important, why do you want us to pull your ear before you start taking your personal safety as seriously as we do?
Why have you not downloaded the NauNauSOS App? Ehn?
